About WHTO

WHTO is
a social, non-political and not for profit organization, registered with Ministry of Economy,
NGOs Department, Government of Afghanistan
under registration number of 5822, dated
June 03, 2023. The registered office of the organization is located at H#
31, Kart-e Sai, PD6, Kabul Afghanistan (P.O.
Box number 5270). The basic aim of the organization is to
empower communities of remote areas
in Afghanistan through literacy and vocational trainings, especially for girls, promotes agriculture through improving villagers
skills on modern agriculture, distribution of their skills modified seeds and
corps, food processing and finding markets
for their products. In the launching ceremony General Meeting
has been held in Kabul, province, attended by many influential and elite personalities of government and non
- government representatives and other officials. WHTO is governed by a Board of Directors
comprising five (5) permanent and two (2) alternatives
members, they may be increased
in future upon demand of outcome. The BOD play vital role in
strengthening socio-economic status, improving
sustainability of livelihoods through
community building, foster good governance, and ensure the inclusion of groups from marginalized or underrepresented communities including poor families, the rural population, women and the youth so their voices are heard, delivery of basic social services,
promotion of Human Rights,
strengthening of social rights, creating learning
opportunities for young generation,
strengthening the civil society and elimination
of gender disparity in all levels of society,
with special focus on rural areas.
The WHTO Board of Directors
and executive committees brings together an excellent blend
of skills, expertise
and experience with successful
implementation of projects. WHTO will aim to foster positive
change through more comprehensive contribution, creating a new Afghanistan that has the need and
priority of the population at heart.
