CEO Message

WHTO is headed by Mr. Sayed Farhad Akbari who is well known Afghan national for his services in Logar and Kabul. Mr. Akbari is graduated from Political Faculty of Sayed Jamaluddin Afghan University in 2012. 

After completion of his studies, he served as a civil activist in Logar and Kabul for many years – mostly raising awareness level of the people living in remote areas of the mention provinces. Through his activities during this time, he managed to better understand the most challenging issues people faces in rural areas of the country. Through day-to-day conversation with the affected people, he also managed to find solutions to the challenges and has personal taken on some of them which ended with positive results.

 Mr. Akbari, hereby, personally felt that there is an urgent need to take initiatives and intervene through his capabilities and ability to access the grass roots level and act as a bridge between the suffering and desperate local communities and civil societies and to donor agencies, international organizations, well-wishers and charities that are willing to help the Afghan people. WHTO is a development organization, it’s a non-government, not-for-profit organization working for social development of vulnerable and less developed people. WHTO could also be labelled as an implementing organization which designs and implements various developmental projects with the financial and technical support of international donor agencies. Our main target areas and groups are poorest and marginalized people in Afghanistan living in rural and urban communities especially women, the disadvantaged majority in Afghan society and vulnerable groups especially children and disables. This was the philosophy behind the establishment of WHTO Afghanistan.

For the accomplishment of our philosophy, we started WHTO through a group of Afghan volunteers, to serve his country with motive to bring change in the lives of the poor and impoverished Afghans through special consideration on rural areas by establishing and functioning of vocational trainings mechanisms and agriculture related interventions. Trainings and agriculture are sectoring the core areas of WHTO which definitely extends to other sectors like health and social economic areas. The future vision of WHTO is to expand its activities in other remote areas of Afghanistan. WHTO will expand our best professional services throughout Afghanistan.

WHTO is committed to establishing a caring, sharing and loving society, where all human being can access to resource and live with dignity, non-discrimination and effective participation. Our mission is to eliminate hunger, poverty, reduction of barriers to education and injustice by providing human and financial resource to vulnerable communities to live prosperous life.
