Background
Afghanistan has been gone through years of destructive war, which left the country and its people with
several and complicated challenges. The perception for the formation of the non – governmental organizations in Afghanistan indeed, was a most welcoming step, especially under conditions that Afghanistan was engulfed with the most civil war and the country was experiencing a difficult situation
due to internal instability.
After many years of struggle, international and local community recognized the
importance of their assistance to Afghan people in order to take out the country from these critical
situations, through extending
financial and technical
assistance in all major areas by creating the capacity of local communities and existing leadership among Afghans,
raising their awareness
on the modern way of organization and management, which are crucial
factors in rehabilitation of the country
through active participation of the Afghan people.
Therefore, we as group of Afghan experts with
national and international expertise have decided
to put step forward in this direction by establishment of NGO called “World
Hope Tomorrow Organization” (W.H.T.O). This Local NGO was formed based on the needs and will of the community elders in a view to deal
with socio-economic problems
in different rural areas
of Afghanistan. The main philosophy of establishment is to bring community elders and
representatives on a common platform to share
ideas and act collectively and go parallel
and in line with policies
and mandates of existed
mechanisms and international community and donors in Afghanistan.
